The National Jewish Committee on Scouting encourages diversity in Jewish observance as support for all Jewish charter partnered units and individual Scouts.
To that end all commentaries – from respected rabbinical authorities to individual Jewish Scouts – are encouraged to be published on this website, created and maintained by the NJCOS. All recognized branches of Judaism – Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist – are considered of equal importance and worthy of inclusion on this site.
Derech Tzofim (“The Path of the Scout”) is the first of what will become regular commentaries on Judaism from all diverse Jewish Scouting sources incorporating the values inspired by the Torah, Talmud and Mishnah and relating them to the Scouting program.
To submit individual commentaries for consideration, please send here.
