The deadline for this year’s Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards is approaching The awards celebrate Jewish teens across the United States who have demonstrated remarkable leadership and are actively engaged in tikkun olam projects that “repair the world.” The foundation will acknowledge up to 15 teens this year for their visionary actions with monetary awards of $36,000 to be used to further their philanthropic work or education.
Past recipients have focused their passion on a variety of causes, from fundraising to poverty relief, peer support to environmental protection. Teen projects may focus on the Jewish community or the general community.
Nominations are open now through Sunday, January 19, 2014, and it only takes a few minutes to give an exceptional teen a chance to win a monetary award. Teens may be nominated by anyone familiar with the value of their project, or may apply themselves through February 2, 2014.
