A. J. KREIMER NAMED NATIONAL JEWISH COMMITTEE ON SCOUTING CHAIR

William F. Cronk, President of the Boy Scouts of America and Robert J. Mazzuca, Chief Scout Executive, have named A. J. Kreimer to succeed Jay L. Lenrow as Chair of the National Jewish Committee on Scouting.
 
The exchange of the gavel took place at the Annual Meeting of the National Jewish Committee, held in conjunction with the BSA's Annual Meeting on May 21, in San Diego, CA. Lenrow successfully chaired the Committee for three years. He will continue to serve on the Northeast Region Board of the BSA and as an Area President. He is the Past President of the Baltimore Area Council and was recognized as a "Distinguished Eagle Scout".
 
In addition to serving as Chair of the Committee, Kreimer assumed the NJCOS seats on the BSA's National Relationships Committee and the National Religious Relationships Committee. Prior to his appointment as Chair, he served as Executive Vice Chair.
 
He was President of the Burlington County Council (NJ) for three years and held positions on the Northeast Region's Venturing committee, National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Scholarship selection committee, and the Region's Area 2 committee.

He started his association with Scouting in Pittsburgh, PA at Rodef Shalom Temple's Troop 14, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. In addition to his volunteer positions with the Boy Scouts, he was elected four times to the Moorestown, NJ Board of Education where he has served as Chair of the Finance, Policy, and Student Services committees. He was also recognized at the BSA's Annual Meeting with the Silver Antelope Award for national leadership and distinguished service to the Northeast Region.
