About 160 Scouts, Scouters and their families met at Northern NJ Council's Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Blairstown, NJ for a terrific weekend of Scouting with a Jewish flavor.
The weather cooperated as boys worked on merit badges, hiked, played games and had lots of fun meeting new people. Scouts from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts and Montreal enjoyed the event.
Chef Sam Chasan and his hard-working volunteer crew put out an incredible selection of gourmet foods, not your typical hot dog over a campfire !
Many volunteers helped the Scouts earn a variety of merit badges. Here, Scouts earned their Radio Merit Badge under the able teaching of Jeff Regan.
Other Scouts learned how to make firestarters.
Sunday night dinner saw everybody selecting their ingredients and cooking them in foil over their campfire. Scouts start a campfire at their site's fire ring.
